Blogger Opportunity - Erotica & Romance Giveaway #1

Blogger Opportunity - Erotica & Romance Giveaway

I'll be setting up a new giveaway of Romance and Erotica titles soon. This is an opportunity to get your Romance or Erotica short story or novel in front of lots of different new readers and gain Twitter and Facebook followers at the same time.

It's simple to be a part of it. All you need to do is make one post on your blog about the giveaway. Of course, your book will come first in your blog post, to highlight just how awesome the giveaway is :)

I add your Twitter, Facebook fan page, Pinterest, Goodreads, Amazon, Smashwords or Google+ link into the giveaway (pick three). Contestants will simply like/follow your link to gain an entry into the comp. And they'll get another entry by sharing your blog page to their Twitter. All this means exposure for you and your book, and extra followers on your social media accounts. When the comp is over I just let you know who the winner is and you email them your book. Easy, yes? Costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time.

If you would like to be a part of it but don't want to give a prize, you can still get some exposure, and have one free social media link in the giveaway in exchange for a post on your blog.

Here's what the giveaway widgets look like (we'll have all the book covers included in the blog post). Most of the entries are just two clicks as they follow/circle/Like you and submit their entry.

I'm accepting signups now. Interested? Email me: bethowyn at gmail dot com

By
Tara Lain

Blurb:

Cole Harker, son of an alpha werewolf, is bigger and more powerful than most wolves, tongue-tied in groups, and gay. For twenty-four years, he’s lived to please his family and pack—even letting them promise him in marriage to female werewolf Analiese to secure a pack alliance and help save them from a powerful gangster who wants their land. Then Cole meets Analiese’s half-brother, panther shifter Paris Marketo, and for the first time, Cole wants something for himself.

When Analiese runs off to marry a human, Cole finally has a chance with Paris, but the solitary cat rejects him, the pack, and everything it represents. Then Cole discovers the gangster wants Paris too and won’t rest until he has him. What started as a land dispute turns into World War Wolf! But the bigger fight is the battle between cats and dogs.

EXCERPT

Cole took hold of a branch a few feet from Paris. “Do you think the alliance will stand?” He shrugged. “Hard to say. I know everyone hopes so, so I hope so too.” Cole pulled his eyebrows together. “But you don’t really care.”

Paris looked up sharply. “Yes, I care. I care about my parents. They’ve been good to me and I owe them a lot. I’m a freak by wolf standards, and my father has never abjured me. I honestly believe he kept me separate for my well-being more than his own. He acknowledges me as his son even though I remind him of his greatest sorrow.”

“Your panther mother.” He nodded. “And Trixie isn’t a brave female. My existence is difficult for her, but she’s been nothing but good to me. She had to stand against the combined disapproval of a lot of other females for me. They didn’t know what I was, but they knew I was Merced’s first wife’s son. They weren’t kind. She was. I value her and want the best.”

Cole nodded. If there was one thing he understood, it was loyalty.

“And then there’s you.”

Cole glanced up. Look at that mischievous face. He’d switched from deeply serious to court jester in one second flat. “What about me?” He grinned.

The cat danced around his tree, unfastening buttons on his shirt with intricate skill. “You want the alliance and I want you. Isn’t that an Aristotelian principle? If A equals B and B equals C, then Paris wants Cole to have his alliance so Paris can have Cole’s big yummy cock in his ass. An ass, I might add, that’s been throbbing like a voodoo drum since I first looked in your silver eyes, wolfman.” He whipped off the shirt, leaving his upper body bare.

Wow. Even knowing what was coming, that sight was hard to believe. The cat’s skin glowed in the moonlight like so much alabaster formed into a work of art. If you liked bulky, you wouldn’t like Paris. But if the look of a black leopard stealing along a branch stilled your heart, this sight would do it for you down to the ground. Not really slim. More like lean, with muscles just where they should be, but as if they were made of silk rather than stone. Fluid.

Paris reached and grabbed a branch, then pulled himself up one-armed until he leaned over the wood on his belly. Flip. He circled and came up to sitting, his upper body glowing and long legs dangling. He spread his arms out for a second as if balancing on a tightrope. Then he reached in and started to unfasten his belt. Slowly, he slipped it from his trousers, then swung it over his head until it caught on an upper branch.

He pulled himself to standing and used one hand to slowly lower his fly. White showed in the gap. Oh my. Not white underwear.  White skin. Cole shuddered. He wasn’t used to this kind of sexy. Hell, who was? This cat was one of a kind.

Book Reviews

(updated 7th January 2014)
I am currently available to review romance or erotica titles. For the titles I review, I promise to be honest and that the review will be shared on several social media platforms (Facebook, Google+, Twitter).

Your review will go up on your book sales pages (for example on Amazon or Smashwords) and also here on my blog. Remember I don't do perfect reviews, I do honest reviews, so I can only promise that if I agree to review your book it won't be negative.

I can also post a teaser post one week before the review if you wish. This would be your book cover, the blurb and if you wish a short excerpt.

The time a review takes depends on the length of the book. At the moment I can review short stories within a week and novel-length works in three to four weeks. If you are interested you can email me: bethowyn at gmail dot com (please send your book in epub/mobi/pdf only, and include the name, genres, synopsis and word count in your email).

My reviews are offered in partnership with Indie Abode so if your book is some other genre or you need it done more quickly, you can visit this page to see who is available to review your book.

Due to the sheer number I can't reply personally to every submission, but if you have not had a reply in ten weeks I have not chosen to review your book. For the best chance make it the genres I'm into and ensure you've included the synopsis. Please don't resubmit the same title more than once. If a review is published you'll be notified. :)

Excerpt: Excerpt SAIL AWAY WITH ME
Kate Deveaux

“Hey there, Jody,” he called out.
“Oh, hi....Taggart,” she said with surprise, pretending she hadn’t seen him.
“We really have to stop meeting like this.” He smiled and walked towards her down the narrow hall dotted with luggage.
She laughed nervously at the cliché that was proving all too true if she was to keep her sanity. “I guess so. Well, this is my room.” She fidgeted with her keycard as he came up beside her.
“Mine’s just down the hall.” Taggart pointed behind him, but he just stood there, his tall frame close to her. She looked up at him, overly aware of the scent of sandalwood, one of her favorites. Very masculine.
“Mmm...coincidence,” she said, the hallway becoming smaller by the minute when he flashed that boyish smile, with one corner of his mouth raised. Cocky, but undeniably sexy at the same time.
Unable to break the gaze, she tried to insert the keycard into the lock, not paying attention to what she was doing. The card grazed the slot and she forced her eyes away from his.
“I guess you didn’t find your friends after all?” he inquired, leaning casually against the wall, as she slid the keycard all the way in the lock.
Caught red handed at her own lie, she smiled down at her shoes. “No, I didn’t.”
“So you can have that drink with me after all,” he stated flatly, placing his hand over hers as she held the key in the lock.
Her heart pounded in her chest. She couldn’t move a muscle. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she said.
He frowned but left his hand on hers. “Because?”
Because? Her mind raced. She couldn’t tell him it was because she was afraid. Afraid how her body trembled when he was near, how her cheeks burned and her sex thrummed.
“I’ll wait,” he said with a devilish grin eyeing the keycard still in the lock.
“I really don’t think it’s a good idea, is all.”
“You already said that,” he said straight-faced, but she could see the playful look in his eyes. As he removed his hand, he continued to lean easily on the doorframe, his face close to hers as if he had all the time in the world to wait for her to be ready. He was close enough she could see the barely visible laugh lines when he smiled and the slight five o’clock shadow on his chiseled jaw.
“Look Taggart,” she said, just saying his name made her heart beat faster. “I’m not ready for...” her heart beat rapidly thinking about just what she wasn’t ready for....to be intimate with a man.
“Ready for what?” he teased. A flush of desire rushed through her. He was playing with her, flirting with her.
She took her key out of the lock and looked up at him trying her best to hang on to some semblance of control. “Whatever it is, I’m not ready.”
“Fair enough,” he said, completely unarming her with his understanding.
“Really?” she asked, almost disappointed he gave in so easily. “Really,” he said, imitating her.
He was so fucking sexy she was going to melt right there in the
hall. “Well in that case, maybe I’ll have that drink with you, but it better be a quick one, the girls will wonder where I am.”
“Good,” he said slowly, and leaned towards her, his body inches away, her heart pounding and her body humming with anticipation. He was so close she could feel the heat from his skin, the pulse of his heartbeat.
Her lips met his, at first tentatively, as if unsure of herself. His hot mouth was inviting as she kissed him again, this time parting her lips as his arms wrapped around her waist, his tongue finding hers. Instinctively, she reached one arm around his neck and pulled him to her, kissing him more urgently. His stubble against her chin made her melt when he grasped her tighter and kissed her back. Hard and hungry. Her body quivered as she pressed against him, their mouths exploring one another.
Lost in the moment, her mind swirling and her body electric, she ran her hands along his broad back, her breasts squashed against his muscled chest, his hands running along her body. It felt so good. He smelled so good, tasted so good, it had been forever since she’d felt this way. So...so...so fucking turned on. Demanding and capable, his hands roamed wantonly over her hips and then cupped her ass.

Win a FREE copy of my book!

You may recall my super-hot flash-flash erotic story, Office Party. :)

Flash-flash fiction pieces are super-short five-minute reads... a tasty and tantalising tease.

Excerpt: “God, I want you,” I whisper through clenched teeth. He smirks, shakes his head, and continues his assault. He knows how public this is, how many people could be watching our display. He’s enjoying just how trapped I feel, of being forced to show decorum. A waitress is moving between people, her tray of champagne flutes poised on one arm. His fingers continue their relentless movement, driving me steadily towards the point of no return.

All I want to do is wrap my arms around his neck, as he brings me closer and closer to the edge. I want to feel his naked body against mine, taste the salty sweat on his body. I want to feel him swell inside me as the crescendo builds within us both. I want to smell the desperation in him, taste the pleasure in the electrified air. I try to concentrate on an intelligent facial expression, but I fail, and the wine glass in my hand barely avoids spilling its contents all over the floor.

His eyes widen with excitement as he correctly guesses just how close I am.
